Shri Shahu Shikshan Prasarak Seva Mandal, Peth Vadgaon was established in 1968 by Late. Vijaysinha Yadav Saheb for imparting liberal & efficient Primary, Secondary, Higher & Professional education by opening schools &  colleges in rural area. In 1999, institute started Graduate College with Arts and Science faculty to cater the academic requirements of the rural students. Keeping pace with present times, the college is running sixteen departments for the under graduate students. Department of English is one of the foremost departments in the college that runs various activities for the overall developments of students such as syllabus based workshops, expert talks, study visits, use of ICT, screening of academic movies, wall paper presentations, quizzes and competitions, felicitations of students with cash prizes etc.
