Shri V.Y.College started science faculty in 2000.The Mathematics subject is taught at B.Sc.I, II, III level. There are two theory papers at each semester, carrying 50 marks each and practical for 50 marks at B.Sc.I.There are two theory papers at each semester ,carrying 50 marks each and practical for 100 marks at B.Sc.II. There are four theory papers at each semester, carrying 50 marks each and practical for 200 marks at B.Sc.III.

The total work load is of 55 (11+12 +32). Since July 2005 Mr.D.B.Patil has been working as Associate Professor. He has been appointed as a full time regular lecturer through S.U.selection committee on March 3rd; 2006.From academic year 2014-2015, institute has opened B.Sc.III. Mathematics Dept.

In the academic year 2021-2022 , 40 students at first year and 45 students at second year and 12 students at third year. 

In Mathematics Dept., there are 19 laminated photographs of Mathematicians to motivate our students. Students read the biography of scientists and get impressed.
