The department of zoology is a pioneer department of the Science stream established in the academic year 2002-03. It provides the UG regular course in zoology. Annual pattern of university assessment was run up to 2009-10; whereas semester pattern was adopted from 2010 -11 onwards. As per the directions given by UGC, Choice based credit system is adopted from the academic year 2018-19. Total 01 Associate professor, 02 Assistant Professors, and 01 Clock hour basis faculty with one Lab assistant and one Lab Attendant are working in the department. One faculty has undertaken minor research project funded by University Grants commission. This department has produced many University rankers. The department has organized 01 National Conference, 01 State level Teachers Training Programme, 01Universoty level workshop on revised syllabus in Zoology at B. Sc. II and many activities for the students in last few years.
